City Honors District StudentsEAST students from Hot Springs Middle School, Gardner, and HSIS will be recognized at the City of Hot Springs Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.  Mr. Max Sestili, CFM, CMS4S, Stormwater Manager, City of Hot Springs - Public Works will be recognizing the students for their work on various projects for the Hot Springs City Stormwater Division.

Here is a list with a brief description of the various projects and people working on them from the Hot Springs School District:

EAST at Gardner STEM Magnet 
Lily Box, Samantha Henderson,Renee Nduku, and William Dozier
  • Working on "Report a Stormwater Problem" - an app to allow the general public to report conditions/problems with stormwater drainage areas - the App sends reports directly to Stormwater Manager, Max Sestili's inbox to be assigned to the appropriate departments.
EAST at Hot Springs Intermediate School 
Kaylin Kauffman, Kailey Bearskin, Audrey Williams
  • Working on the Adopt a Drainage Campaign and an App to go with it.  Allows the public to adopt a watershed area for cleanup, reporting, etc.

EAST at Hot Springs Middle School
Miles Hermann
  • Working on the Hot Springs Creek Project (resolution for the flooding in HS)
Alyse Orsoco and Isabel Ritter
  • Working on the Inlets and Outfalls Project / Watershed Project.  They are setting up the attributes for data collection in the field that will allow access to input data relating to the drainage inlets and outfalls.
