Monday, Feb. 27 - Friday, Mar. 03, 2017

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday—what better way to celebrate than to read? Did you know Dr. Seuss would be 112 this year? While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He forever changed the way children’s books were written and continues to inspire generations.

Gardner staff and students will “officially” begin our week of celebration on February 27.  We are inviting everyone to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday by participating in our special themes each day!

Thursday, March 2 being Dr. Seuss’s birthday, we will have cupcakes for all students (delivered at 2:00) and will run Horton Hears a Who on our in-house network for the students to enjoy.

The following is a schedule of events!

Monday 2/27: “Cat InThe Hat” wear your favorite, most crazy hat (or hair) that you can find!

Tuesday 2/28: “Green Eggs and Ham”Wear GREEN to celebrate all the green of Dr. Seuss.  Do you like green eggs and ham, or are you feeling a little Grinch-y, or do you want to speak for the trees with the Lorax?

Wednesday 3/1: “Wacky Wednesday”Wear colorful, weird, crazy, silly clothes! Dress wild and wacky from your head to your toes!  Inside out, upside down, backwards, mismatched…the crazier the better.

Thursday 3/2: “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish”…All the Colors You can Wish (actual birthday) – How many different colors can you wear at one time?  Wear LOTS of colors to celebrate our Seuss-a-bration!

Friday 3/3:  “Fox In Socks”wear CRAZY mismatched socks and shoes!
